As a kid playing in the Riverside Minor Hockey Association, I was fortunate to have really good people coaching me, solidifying my love of the game. My hockey journey then took me to Windsor AAA, four seasons of local junior C and B hockey and finally four years with the University of Windsor Lancers.
Since graduating, there has not been a year where I haven’t coached multiple sports/teams. As an elementary school teacher, I have coached both boys and girls. As for hockey, I’ve also coached in Sun County, Tecumseh, and Riverside Minor Hockey Associations and at the University of Windsor.
Philosophically, my objectives are pretty simple. I expect my players to work hard and be coachable, so that they can improve their hockey sense and skills. I have always felt that young athletes have the best chance to reach their potential as players and people, if they believe they are a valued and contributing member of the team.
I am excited to be heading into my fourth season with the Windsor Wildcats. The positive experience my coaching staff and I have had over the past three seasons, makes me confident that we’ll have another in 2025-2026!
I'm excited to start my third season of coaching with SPFHA and lead our U13 Second Team through a great season. As a teacher of 17 years and father of three girls, I'm dedicated to mentoring players, building a strong team community, and a lasting love of competitive sports. I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to the game that has given me so much over my years of playing, coaching, and refereeing. I believe that my players this season will thrive in a team environment that is supportive, competitive, and fosters their growth as individuals on and off the ice.
My name is Candice Chevalier and hockey has been a part of my life since I was eight years old. I started playing in the SPFHA and that’s where my love for the game took off. I played many years as a wildcat, leading me to play Junior for Southwest and being grateful enough to earn a scholarship and play 5 seasons for the University of Windsor. I finished my career in Boston in pursuit of trying to make the former NWHL.
For the past 9 years I have been working at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital in cardiac and stroke rehab where my passion has been helping patients rehab and improve their quality of life.
Through the years I’ve gained so many life skills, friends and valuable lessons both on and off the ice. I’ve coached at various levels from u9 all the way up to coach/train varsity/University athletes.
My philosophy is simple….help make these young women the best version of themselves and allow them to reach their full potential both as hockey players and as human beings off the ice.
I am very much looking forward to coaching these young athletes and having a great 2025/2026 season. Bring it on!
Hi, my name is Rod Isbister. As a coach, my philosophy is focused on hard work, teamwork and fun. This allows players to not only improve their game, but to also become the best version of themselves, both on and off the ice. Discipline, perseverance and maximum effort are skills that can be learned by all players and then applied to every day life.
Head Coach Jeff Casey returns for his third season behind the U18 bench, bringing passion, experience, and a championship mindset. After two successful years coaching at the U18 BB level, capped off by a provincial championship, Coach Casey is excited to lead the U18A team into a new season of growth and development. Known for his dedication to building strong, confident athletes both on and off the ice, he’s assembled a powerhouse coaching staff by recruiting two exceptional young women to help guide this group. With strong leadership and a focus on teamwork, the future is bright for this U18A squad.
The Windsor Wildcats U18A team is excited to welcome Emily Eikelboom as an assistant coach. Emily played prep school hockey in Quebec before competing for four years at the U SPORTS level with Laurentian University and the University of Windsor. Her high-level playing experience and strong understanding of the game make her a valuable asset behind the bench. Emily is eager to begin her coaching journey and looks forward to playing a key role in player development. She’s especially excited to coach alongside her former Lancers teammate Mia Dinardo and help foster a hardworking, competitive, and positive team culture.
Originally from Windsor-Essex County, Mia began playing hockey at the age of eight. Her development as a player was shaped significantly by her time with the SPHFA Wildcats, where she competed from U13 through U18. She went on to earn a spot as a walk-on with the University of Windsor Lancers women’s hockey team, where she played for four years at the U SPORTS level. Now, she is proud to join the coaching staff alongside head coach Jeff Casey and former Lancer teammate Emily Eikelboom. She is enthusiastic about the opportunity and looks forward to contributing to the team's continued success.
Hello, Coach Jay here. This is my third go around with the Wildcats. My second with the U18BB's. As a coach, I have done everything on different rosters. I started out as an on-ice helper, then moved up to a Trainer, Team Manager, Assistant Coach and now Head Coach. I have worked with and learned from some of the best coaches around! I am here for the players, not the other way around. I am a development focused coach, working on the finer skills of the game. Striving for confidence and competence with and without the puck. All while coaching with integrity and teaching a love for the game!
